Let It Snow!!!!!

Hi Stampers,

For the month of November, you could order the stamp set Snow Is Glistening, Happiness Surrounds and the matching Snowfall Thinlit dies. When I saw this I thought I really didn't need another set of snowflakes. Well, I went ahead and ordered the Snow Is Glistening Stamp set and matching framelits anyways. I am so glad I did as I have completely fallen in love with this set. I just love the large snowflake thinlet. Living in Michigan, I am sure I will get a TON of use out of this set.

Also, don't limit yourself to the items in the holiday catalog for Christmas cards. In the Annual Catalog I love the Birthday Banners stamp set with the matching framelits. I used that for the snowman's scarf. Cute, huh?

3D Deer Hunter Package

Hi Stampers,

Because I live in Michigan and deer season is almost upon us, I thought it would be fun to create a little "deer hunter package" complete with a mini bottle of Fireball Whiskey and a package of handwarmers. We received our first snow last Friday and I was squealing with joy!! I love the first snowfall.

The "deer" is actually a sprig punch hiding behind the pine tree. LOL The sentiment from Winter Woods is perfect for this package. The Cookie Cutter Hunter coordinates with this as well. And to think, Stampin' Up! really doesn't have any actual hunting stamps in this catalog. HA!!!! We worked around that!!!

Directions:

Cut a piece of Soft Suede CS 3 x 10-3/4". Score at 4-3/4" and 6" along the long side. Using the Woodland Embossing Folder.
Cute a piece of Soft Suede CS 3 x 5. Score along long side at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 3-3/4". Die cut second row with an oval framelit.
Cut a piece of Soft Suede CS 1 x 7 and wrap around back of pouch and adhere end to end. Slide in Hot Hands.
Stamp a "Cookie Cutter Santa" and color with blends. Punch out.
Die cut a Pumpkin Pie scalloped oval. Die cut a Very Vanilla oval using a framelit.
Die cut a tree from the In The Woods set using Old Olive CS.
Punch a sprig from the sprig punch using Crumb Cake CS.
Stamp sentiment on Very Vanilla. Cut out using Paper Trimmer.
Tie Burlap Ribbon in bow. Tie Shaded Spruce twine in a bow and attach with glue dot to a binder clip.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #303-Still Night

Hi Stampers,

This week for the DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we are having a Product Spotlight Product Suites. I chose to focus on the gorgeous Winter Set from the Holiday Catalog called Still Night. The first thing that caught my eye about this set is the owl and the coordinating thinlits.

To make my card, I swiped my ink pad on the embossing folder before I embossed it with the Woodland Embossing Folder. Love how it turned out.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #259-Let It Snow

Hi Stampers,

We are having a sketch pad challenge this week!!! WOOHOO!! My fav!!! This card came together so fast it scared me!!! LOL I used this month's Paper Pumpkin stamp set for the sentiment.

As I live in Michigan we are supposed to get our first accumulating snow this evening 1-3". This weekend we are supposed to get more. I can't wait!!! Time off from work, snowing, drinking coffee and having a craft day. It doesn't get much better than this!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #246-Cookie Cutter Christmas

Hi Stampers,

For our challenge this week we are to use one of the three 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Say that fast 20 times!!! WHEW!!! I only have one of them as the others are still on my wish list. It happens to be the cable knit embossing folder. It is perfect for the upcoming cooler season---think of bonfires, sweaters, scarves....... My favorite time of year!!!

I scoured Pinterest and found a card similar to the one I made. I just changed up the greeting, ribbon and added pearls.

I just made my own template and used the 1-1/2" circle punch for the collar. I then ran it thru the Big Shot with the cable knit embossing folder. I loved how it turned out.

Time to Chill

Hi Stampers,

I made this card for one of the DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenges a while back but didn't get it done in time to post. It will be my last snowman card hopefully!!! Tomorrow it is supposed to be around 57!!! So the last of the snow should be gone by tomorrow night.

My inspiration for this card came from decorations for winter in our cafeteria at work. I used the Hardwood stamp on the snowman and then stamped the outline of the snowman on it, then cut them out.
