Dandelion Wishes Joy Fold Card

Hi Stampers,

Back at it with Dandelion Wishes. Today's card I made a Joy Fold Card. You can see the tutorial HERE. I needed a wedding card for my nephew's wedding in September. I have been wanting to use the new color Soft Sea Foam which I paired with Silver and silver heat embossing. I used the Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. I moved the inner card up a little higher than what most Joy Fold cards do to fit the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment on the front with dimensionals and "tucked the inner card" behind it to help it stay closed. Of course, it wouldn't be a wedding card without ribbon or some kind of bling, hence the rhinestones.

Just Married Car

Hi Stampers,

My niece, Alyssa, just recently got married and I thought it would be fun to make a car shaped card for the occasion. She looked so beautiful on her day.

To make this card, you need to cut approx. 1-1/2" off the top piece of a  4 x 11 piece of cardstock. I used the corner rounder from the envelope punch board on a lot of the pieces.

DOStamper Stars Card Swap-In The City

Hi Stampers,

In most Stampin' Up! groups, there is always swapping going on. What is a swap? A theme, color or stamp set is chosen for the group. You then create and make however many are in the group identical cards. In this instance, 13. You then send all your cards to the hostess of the swap who "swaps" them out and mails them back to you. When you receive them, you will have received 13 different cards; one from each swapper. Make sense?

What is great about participating in a swap, you get many cards of stamp sets you don't have to own so you can display them. Let's face it---you can't possibly afford to own all of the sets in the catalog!! I would love to but my wallet says NO. LOL

This is one I just participated in with the DOStamper Stars group. I used the hostess set In The City. This is such a versatile set with so many stamps!!! I needed a wedding card and hence, this is what I came up with.

I just love the little limo stamp!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #220-Celebrate!!!

Hi Stampers,

Back with another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #220. We are now into the month of March (how did that happen?) and the last month of Sale-A-bration!!! Remember you get to pick an item from the Saleabration choices when your order placed is more than $50 or more (before shipping/handling).

If the colors look familiar for this week's challenge, they are the colors that are highlighted in the gorgeous Falling In Love DSP. I have a couple of weddings this summer and what an appropriate name of a suite to use for them -- Falling In Love!!! I now have one card out of the way, way ahead of schedule!!! LOL I don't know about you but I just love shabby chic. For some people this design comes so easy but for others (like me) I REALLY have to try. The pics really don't do justice in my opinion. It really turned out quite soft and just plain pretty. I just got the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and love how they deboss. I also used some of my Blushing Bride sequin trim and the new delicate lace doilies. I also sponged Soft Sky with a sponge over the debossing to highlight it a little more.
