Candy Corn Treat Holder

Hi Stampers,

Isn't this just the cutest little candy corn treat holder? I just love his face!!!

I thought I would make these for my grandchildren. They all love the candy corn mixed with peanuts. It tastes just like you are eating a Payday candy bar. Even the older two-Connor and Logan, like it. Speaking of which, we met them to take pictures for Homecoming. When did they become a freshman and junior and 6'3" and 6'4" respectively?!!!!

I even typed up a pdf for you which there are 2 parts.

Bag A Lope Halloween Bags

I thought these were cute to make for the grandchildren to hold their Halloween treats. They are called Bag A Lope or Box in a Bag. They are called many things but so easy to make!! I also got to use up some retired Halloween DSP and some retired In Color clothespins to attach their glow in the dark hand pens to the outside.

 

 

I just filled them with their favorite XL candy bar, pack of gum, tootsie rolls and laffy taffy. They get so much candy trick or treating!!!

Here are our youngest two grandchildren, Isabella (Bella) and Barrett (Bear). They wanted to get their picture taken on Grandpa's vintage truck.

Mr. Funny Bones

Hi Stampers,

Like I said before, I don't own much Halloween stamp stuff but when I saw Mr. Funny Bones I knew I had to order it. I work as a Radiology Assistant at our hospital and this stamp set was perfect for my department. I know I can get a lot of miles out of it even after Halloween.

I found these pens at our local Meijer store. They come 6 in a pack for $3. The hands glow in the dark. I think you can also buy them from Amazon and on ebay.  I made one for each of the grandchildren and the rest I am taking to work for my co-workers. I also got to use up some of my hoarded beloved Tangelo Twist cardstock.  I love being able to use up retired cardstock on crafts. These package up nicely in our 2 x 8 bags. I then stampled them closed with our handheld stapler.

The cardstock for the inside are cut 1-3/4" x 6". The outside cardstock are cut 3-1/8" x 3-1/4" and scored at 1-5/8". The white is cut 1-1/2" x 3".

Paper: Tangelo Twist (retired), Whisper White, pumpkin pie glitter paper

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #204-All Wrapped Up

Sorry I missed the last couple of DOStamper Stars Challenges. Between working a lot of hours at my job at the hospital (LOVE MY JOB!!!) and life I haven't had much energy left to craft. I know, I know, how can that happen? LOL I have been trying to make up for it this week. 

We have a Color My World challenge. Love these halloween colors. I used my Cookie Cutter Halloween set once again. The characters are SO cute!!! I also found a remnant for $2 for a yard of the white cotton which I tore and tied in a bow.

Cookie Cutter Halloween Dracula Style

Hi Stampers,

I made this cute little coffin style card with the dracula from the Cookie Cutter Halloween set. I got the coffin template from Debbie Henderson's blog. I don't have a lot of Halloween stuff. I like the cutesy Halloween, not the scary stuff. I used the Labeler alphabet stamp set for a little play on words.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #201-Halloween Peek A Boo

 

Welcome back!!! Our home sweet home challenge is Halloweenish (is that even a word?) Since I do not send out Halloween cards I have a very limited supply of Halloween stamp sets but I did buy the Halloween Cookie Cutter Set that is amazing!!!

I made a peek-a-boo card this week. These have been on my list to make for awhile now. I should have taken a pic of my craft room floor. I think I wasted 6 sheets of cardstock. I am a visual learner and so I you tubed this particular card. I don't know if my heart just wasn't it or not really paying attention. GEESSHHH!!! It really is not that hard but MAN!!!! I did finish it and am very happy with it. I think I now have all the measurements memorized from making so many "mistakes". UPDATE: THE CARD ITSELF IS NOT HARD. I SHOULD HAVE MADE MYSELF MORE CLEAR. I WAS TRYING TO MAKE THE OPENING MUCH BIGGER-THEREFORE, THE MEASUREMENTS WERE NOT WORKING. ONCE I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS IT WAS PERFECT. I  RECEIVED SOME EMAILS ASKING ABOUT THIS AND I DIDN'T WANT TO DISSUADE ANYONE FROM TRYING TO MAKE THIS!!

 

I couldn't find a sentiment I liked to go with the skeleton and mummy so what's a stamper to do? I made my own. I printed out a whole sheet. If you would like these to print here they are  Download Timetounwind.

I also wished that I had some muslin that I could have tied around the card in a knot. Oh well, next time!!

We are having a product spotlight for our challenge this week. I know a lot of you just LOVE this product-washi tape!! It makes sweet and simple cards but still has that WOW factor. Since I don't send out Halloween cards, I only own a couple of the washi tape groups so my pickens were pretty thin to do this challenge!!! LOL
