3D Pumpkin Pop Rocks Treat Holder

Hi Stampers,

I was at my local Dollar Store and found a 3-pack of Pumpkin flavored Pop Rocks. I came up with this cute little treat holder to give them out to trick or treaters. A very quick & easy treat holder!!!

Directions:

1. Cut Pumpkin Pie cardstock 3 x 9-1/2". Score on each end 1/2". Also score at 4-3/4".
2. Run cardstock through Big Shot with Corrugated Embossing Folder.
3. Punch out a 3/4" circle on the 4-3/4" score line.
4. Punch out Call Me Clover cardstock with the Circle Tab Punch. Trim each side of the "circle" to resemble a stem.
5. Use tear and tape to adhere to both sides of Circle Tab Punch to the Pop Rocks. Insert through the hole.
6. Adhere tear and tape at bottom.
7. Adhere embellishments to front. I used a retired EK Success punch for the face out of Basic Black cardstock.

Halloween Pixie Stix holder

Hi Stampers,

I made a cute little box to present some Pixie Stix candy in that I wanted to share with you. I have added a template if you would like but I will also give the measurements.

This treat holder will hold quite a few Pixie Stix.

MEASUREMENTS:

-Cut cardstock 9-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches.

-Along the 9-1/2" side score at 1-3/8, 1-3/4, 8 and 8-1/2.

-Along the 5-1/2" side score at 2, 2-1/2, 4 and 4-1/2.

-If you view the template it will show you what portions to cut off. Burnish all score lines.

-Attach Tear & Tape.

-Cut a piece of DSP 1-3/4 inches x 6 inches. Adhere to front.

-Using 2-1/4" circle punch out front portion. Round corners of front of box.

-Adhere together.

-Stamp sentiment. Tie ribbon around box. Adhere sentiment.

Book of Spells

Hi Stampers,

Sorry I was MIA last week. I spent last Sunday in my craft room trying to create projects for last week. It seemed like whatever I did, nothing would turn out right. I was cutting cardstock the wrong length, dropped an ink pad on an almost finished card.... you get the picture. I decided I just needed to take a break and take a step back which I did. Hopefully this week will go a lot smoother. I thought instead of featuring product of the weeks posts this week  I would show some Halloween treat holders.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #299-Spooky Sweets

Hi Stampers,

Welcome to our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. This week I am using my new bundle Spooky Sweets and Spooky Bats Punch. Even though Sketch Pads are my favorite challenge, I did take some liberty with the sketch. This bundle is such a cute Halloween set. I said earlier I do not do "scary" Halloween---just "spooky" and definitely "treats". This set fits the bill.

I used Stained Glass Thinlits for the "fence". I also used the Balloon Bouquet Punch for the pumpkins along with the Simple Stripes embossing folder. The Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper made a terrific backdrop for this card don't ya think? Of course, I had to pop the bats and pumpkins up on dimensionals. I also used the new Sprig Punch for the greenery on the pumpkins.

Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage with Lemon?

Hi Stampers,

I came up with yet another idea using the Lemon Zest and Lemon Builder Punch. With Halloween coming up, I thought it would make a cute card for your princess. The "wheels" are from the Lemon Zest Stamp set and the 1-3/4" circle punch. I borrowed the "hardware" from the Sliding Door Framelits. I used the grass stamp from Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The petals from the Lemon Builder Punch were perfect for this pumpkin. The sentiment is from the new Stamp Set Spooky Sweets.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #297-Country Home

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is Home Sweet Home. Several ideas came to mind---witch, witches shoe, Halloween....all of "witch" I don't have!!! LOL Get it? Okay, well let me explain. In the Christmas catalog there is an adorable witch bundle. Unfortunately, I do not send out Halloween cards but to my two youngest grandchildren. And, staying with my challenge of featuring a stamp set each week, I was really in a dilemma. So, for my card I pulled from the colors for inspiration. Actually instead of  "If the shoe fits" mine should say "If the broom fits." I hope you enjoy today's card.

I borrowed the "broom" image from Oh So Eclectic. From the first time I saw the stamp set I thought of a broom and I went with it. I also got to use my blends and the more I play with them, the better I am getting with them (I know I have a long way to go) but it is getting easier. Add in some good 'ol punch art, embossing and there you have it!!

I hope this shows you, you don't always have to have a certain stamp set. Use your imagination!!! or pull from another stamp set.

It's A Jungle In Here!!!

Hi Stampers,

I have had today's card rolling around in my head for some time. I think it would make a cute card for Halloween with a twist. I'm happy with the results but for some reason my clear embossing powder is showing up with white flecks in it in EVERY single pic I took. Sigh......I hope you like it.

Lemon Builder Punch Witch

Hi Stampers,

No need to adjust your screen---and no, I haven't lost my mind. I have had this idea since the fall and it didn't really come to fruition until I was playing with the Lemon Builder punch.  I wanted to come up with different ideas for using this punch other than fruit. I think I hit it out of the ballpark!! The great thing about this punch is Stampin' Up! let us know it will be carrying over in the new 2018-19 catty!!!! So, you have your first idea for a Halloween tag!!!

Lemon Lime Twist is a perfect color for the face!!!

The "nose" is actually one of the leafs from the Leaf Punch!!! I used a retired candy dot for the "wart" on her nose. I also used a retired spider web doillie from my stash.

So, whatcha think? Are you going to make some of these come this fall? I hope so!!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #253-Tootsie Pop Pumpkin Holders

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back to this week's DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. We are having a Home Sweet Home challenge. I drew inspiration from the pumpkins on the pillows. I immediately turned to the Christmas catalog drooling over the Pick A Pumpkin bundle. Since I do not own that set (yet--will be ordered this weekend!!!) Isn't it great that Stampin' Up! offers these in a bundle to save you 10%?

I decided to CASE a project I saw on Pinterest. I know they are simple but I am keeping with the theme of Halloween treat holders on my blog. It is this cute little tootsie pop sucker holder. All you need to do is cut out 6 of the "pumpkins" from the oval and circle layering framelits, fold in half and glue. When you come to your last pair to adhere, slip in your tootsie pop. I then measured the "stick" or "stem" and cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock and glued this around the stem. I cut two punched leaves from the new leaf punch and adhered onto the stem. You could run these through an embossing folder or stamp some great images but I didn't really feel the necessity because basically a child is just going to rip this open. LOL

Easy peasy!!! I hope you are able to make some of this pumpkins for your pumpkins!!!!

Haunted House Treat Holder with the Gift Bag Punch Board

Hi Stampers,

I know everyone is getting into the Halloween mood so this house is perfect for you. I don't know about you but I prefer "cutesy" to scary. Maybe because we live in a rural area and unless my husband is home with me at night I hear every noise and bump in the night. I was looking for a cute Halloween treat bag on Pinterest and found many templates but then I had a real "DUH" moment----use your Gift Bag Punch Board silly!!!! The "upstairs" I downsized from coloring pages to fit my bag. I made the medium sized bag and cut my cardstock 6 x 11. I have provided the template and punches on a pdf for you. The oval windows are made using Stampin' Up's retired oval punch. The smaller oval windows are the "legs" from the Cookie Cutter punch. The door is from Stampin' Up! retired Label punch. The small circle window is the 3/4" circle punch. Also, after you cut out the templates for the "upstairs" fold a piece of cardstock in half and place the top of the "upstairs" template on the fold line to get a front and back. Secure the upstairs to the bag with tear and tape. The ghosts are made with the wing of the retired bird punch. I also stamped Basic Gray with the Hardwood Stamp on the bag to look like wood siding. I sponged all the way around with Memento Black Ink. Don't forget to add your candy before securing the bag!!! You don't want to disappoint the kiddos!!!
