Bermuda Bay Falling For Leaves

Hi Stampers,

Today's card isn't created in your "normal" Fall colors. I decided to try it in Bermuda Bay. I actually like it and it helps that Bermuda Bay is one of my fav colors. LOL I just can't get enough of the detailed framelit from this bundle. I embossed the greeting in silver embossing powder on vellum. I punched out a 2-1/4" circle in Whisper White for the backing.  I also used the Glitter Enamel Dots in Coastal Cabana and it matches with the light I am in.

Falling For Leaves

I embossed this card with white embossing powder and then colored in with a Black Stampin' Write Marker. The 3/8" Black Organdy Ribbon is just gorgeous and glittery. It almost feels like it has wire in it to help bend it.

Country Home-Happy Harvest Blessings

Hi Stampers,

This week's featured stamp set is Country Home from the new Christmas catalog. Farmhouse decor is so popular right now. You see it everywhere for inspiration. Stampin' Up! is definitely on target with the Country Lane Suite of products. The galvanized Metallic paper is just that----galvanized. The Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder puts this suite over the top in my book.  Growing up, one of my older brothers owned a local bakery. It was housed in one of the town's old buildings that had the punched tin ceiling. When I saw the embossing folder that was the first thing that came to mind. I also love using Crushed Curry for Fall/Autumn cards. I heat embossed with black embossing powder on the galvanized Metallic paper also.

Dandelion Wishes Joy Fold Card

Hi Stampers,

Back at it with Dandelion Wishes. Today's card I made a Joy Fold Card. You can see the tutorial HERE. I needed a wedding card for my nephew's wedding in September. I have been wanting to use the new color Soft Sea Foam which I paired with Silver and silver heat embossing. I used the Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. I moved the inner card up a little higher than what most Joy Fold cards do to fit the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment on the front with dimensionals and "tucked the inner card" behind it to help it stay closed. Of course, it wouldn't be a wedding card without ribbon or some kind of bling, hence the rhinestones.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #295-Dandelion Wishes

Thanks for stopping by for another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. Aren't these colors just GOR-JE-OUS!!!! Even though we have been having severe thunderstorms and 90+ degree heat, my heart is longing for Fall!!! And these colors certainly speak it.

Going along with my weekly challenge, I used the Dandelion Wishes stamp set. I love the fact that Stampin' Up! brought back the color families designer series paper stacks. I have been using them like crazy. The fact that they are 6 x 6 is faster to use up than 12 x 12.

Dandelion Wishes Get Well

Hi Stampers,

Today's card uses a trick my upline, Dawn Olchefske, showed us a few years ago. Take a piece of cardstock, in this case, 2-3/4 x 2-3/4. Center your Decorative Ribbon Border Punch on one side and punch. Go directly to the other side, center and punch. Do the same to the other two sides. It makes it's own "frame".  Clever, right? You can do this with any border punch. You either cut a 3 x 3 or 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inch square.

I think the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon goes perfectly with this. I stamped the inside with Smoky Slate. The front is heat embossed with Silver and a rhinestone placed in the center.

Dandelion Wishes Make A Wish

Hi Stampers,

This week's featured stamp set is Dandelion Wishes from page 118 in the Annual Catalog. This "floral" image is great for weddings, birthdays, love.....etcetera. I say "floral" because most people see a weed when they see dandelions. I think you can view it as flowers or wishes. What do you see?

I almost forgot about my Decorative Ribbon Border punch that is in my arsenal so I decided to pair that with today's card.

I'm also trying new color combos and trying to use colors that I don't normally reach for. I think it turned out very feminine and pretty. I used the sentiment from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

 

Didn't this turn out fabulous? The decorative edge and white heat embossing turned manly colors into a feminine card.

Springtime Impressions Flower Cut Out

Hi Stampers,

Today's card was quite easy to make. Using the detailed die cut framelit for the front about covers it!! Literally!!! I just love anything gingham and of course, I had to add that along with the heat embossed sentiment. Pretty simple to make but I think it gives a WOW factor, don't you?

It's A Jungle In Here!!!

Hi Stampers,

I have had today's card rolling around in my head for some time. I think it would make a cute card for Halloween with a twist. I'm happy with the results but for some reason my clear embossing powder is showing up with white flecks in it in EVERY single pic I took. Sigh......I hope you like it.
