This is the card I made for our son for his birthday. Coming up with masculine cards is always such a brain teaser. This one is great for birthdays, Father's Day, teacher...... I got the idea from fellow demonstrator Julie Davison.

Back at it with Dandelion Wishes. Today's card I made a Joy Fold Card. You can see the tutorial HERE. I needed a wedding card for my nephew's wedding in September. I have been wanting to use the new color Soft Sea Foam which I paired with Silver and silver heat embossing. I used the Soft Sea Foam DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack. I moved the inner card up a little higher than what most Joy Fold cards do to fit the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment on the front with dimensionals and "tucked the inner card" behind it to help it stay closed. Of course, it wouldn't be a wedding card without ribbon or some kind of bling, hence the rhinestones.

I used the Cut Away Card Technique but with a twist--I turned it to landscape. Just a little experimenting with it, so I went with it. I also like the embossed end pieces for continuity of the "waves".

Welcome back for a DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. What a tongue twister in the title. Say that fast 10 times. LOL Today's challenge we are using one or more of the 10 new colors showcased in our Annual Catalog. I am using the gorgeous Balmy Blue.
Keeping with my challenge this week, I used Lilypad Lake to make a fun fold card called Diorama Tunnel Card. The best part of making these types of cards you can embellish lightly or heavily. It justs depends on what you like!! I also love the sentiment for this card. It pairs well with a water scene.
From the top:
I used an extra die cut of the herron to give it a shadow effect.
I used the beach and sand flecks stamps from the Waterfront stamp set.
I used the circle cut out from the inside for the front of the card
I can see myself making more of these cards in the future.

Today's card lends itself to a fun fold that I haven't done in awhile. It's called the Corner Flip Fun Fold. For inspiration, if I can't find a sketch I want to use I will google fun folds. This is how this card came to be. I just love the fonts in this set, don't you?

I apologize for the posting mess up. I should have posted Mon/Tuesday but didn't hit "schedule". So, anyways, back to my post. Today's card I am copying my upline Dawn Olchefske's card called Folded Window Card.
I used Poppy Parade for the first time. Just love the vibrant color and the matching mini striped ribbon.
And, yes, this wouldn't be my card unless I smudged it up somehow!!! Hence, the cut out greeting for the inside to cover up my booboo. Gawd!!!!
Directions:
For this card, you need a piece of cardstock cut at 9-1/2 x 5-1/4". Score along the 9-1/2" side at 2-1/2 and 5-1/2". Using the 2-1/2 inch circle punch, punch through the folded cardstock. If you wish to emboss you should do so at this time. Stamp your image and also stamp your greeting on a scrap piece of paper. Tie ribbon around the front. Adhere the one side of the greeting to the front of the card with dimensionals. Adhere the top layer to the bottom base which is cut at 5-1/2 x 4-1/4".

For today's card I decided to make a screen divider card using the Graceful Glass designer vellum. I just love this vellum---so delicate and intricate. I also used my blends for the coloring. I mounted the vellum onto a piece of Whisper White before adhering to the card. I could have cut out the Old Olive and adhered the vellum like the top portion but I chose not too. To make this card you need a piece of cardstock cut at 5-1/2 x 11. Along the 11 inch side, you need to score at 2-3/4, 5-1/2 and 8-1/4 inches. I used the Everyday Label Punch to punch out along the bottom of the card.

Man!! Is it hot here in Michigan!!! It got up to 93 degrees today. It felt closer to 100. WAY TO HOT for me!!! Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter at 95 degrees and heat index of 110!!! In fact, we have heat warnings for the next week or so. I am only a summer lover to about 80 degrees --- that is hot enough for me.
Today, my card is a sympathy card. These types of cards aren't a favorite of mine but I do like to have them on hand. I used my new Tufted Embossing Folder. I heat embossed the rose in clear embossing powder to give me some lines that stood up to coloring with the new blends. I also heat embossed the sentiment.

Today for my Grads & Dads blog post, I made a cute Father's Day six pack. That's right, my hubby's favorite---a six pack of beer!!! This card originated from the card I posted for Easter below.
Instead, I used the cute jar framelit and silver foil sheets to cut out the beer cans. TIP: When cutting out die cuts with the gold or silver foil I place a sheet of copy paper over it then place the cutting plate on top. Any marks you have on your cutting plate will not show through on the gold or silver foil paper.
I also used the Foil Frenzy Speciality DSP again along with the new mini gift bows. BTW, I think these are SO ADORABLE!!! They are definitely one of my favorite new embellishments.
This card does fold flat and fits in a regular A2 envelope. However, with the gift bows I would probably hand deliver so they do not get ruined in the mail.
I used the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.
