Today's card I used the delicate and intricate Detailed Leaves thinlit. It is just so pretty with a lace like feel to it. I paired it with the Buffalo Check stamp. I love that you can make it in any Stampin' Up! color making it so versatile. I also used the Buffalo Check stamp with the Stamparatus. This makes using the large stamps a piece of cake!!! Falling For Leaves

I embossed this card with white embossing powder and then colored in with a Black Stampin' Write Marker. The 3/8" Black Organdy Ribbon is just gorgeous and glittery. It almost feels like it has wire in it to help bend it.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #299-Spooky Sweets

Hi Stampers,

Welcome to our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. This week I am using my new bundle Spooky Sweets and Spooky Bats Punch. Even though Sketch Pads are my favorite challenge, I did take some liberty with the sketch. This bundle is such a cute Halloween set. I said earlier I do not do "scary" Halloween---just "spooky" and definitely "treats". This set fits the bill.

I used Stained Glass Thinlits for the "fence". I also used the Balloon Bouquet Punch for the pumpkins along with the Simple Stripes embossing folder. The Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper made a terrific backdrop for this card don't ya think? Of course, I had to pop the bats and pumpkins up on dimensionals. I also used the new Sprig Punch for the greenery on the pumpkins.

Cinderella Pumpkin Carriage with Lemon?

Hi Stampers,

I came up with yet another idea using the Lemon Zest and Lemon Builder Punch. With Halloween coming up, I thought it would make a cute card for your princess. The "wheels" are from the Lemon Zest Stamp set and the 1-3/4" circle punch. I borrowed the "hardware" from the Sliding Door Framelits. I used the grass stamp from Enjoy Life Stamp Set. The petals from the Lemon Builder Punch were perfect for this pumpkin. The sentiment is from the new Stamp Set Spooky Sweets.

Lemon Turkey Anyone?

Hi Stampers,

Today's card gets help from other stamp sets to make a country setting. I mean, you can't have a milk can without a barn, right? I used Barn Door (for the doors, Wood Words (for the sign), Hardwood (for the background) and get this.....the daisy punch for the wagon wheel. Using the Wood Textures DSP for the wheel made it more realistic. When I made the wagon wheel full size it was too big. I cut it down with the Circle Layering Framelits.

I hope I inspired you in some way today. I hope you try combining stamp sets. It just shows how versatile these sets are.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #297-Country Home

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is Home Sweet Home. Several ideas came to mind---witch, witches shoe, Halloween....all of "witch" I don't have!!! LOL Get it? Okay, well let me explain. In the Christmas catalog there is an adorable witch bundle. Unfortunately, I do not send out Halloween cards but to my two youngest grandchildren. And, staying with my challenge of featuring a stamp set each week, I was really in a dilemma. So, for my card I pulled from the colors for inspiration. Actually instead of  "If the shoe fits" mine should say "If the broom fits." I hope you enjoy today's card.

I borrowed the "broom" image from Oh So Eclectic. From the first time I saw the stamp set I thought of a broom and I went with it. I also got to use my blends and the more I play with them, the better I am getting with them (I know I have a long way to go) but it is getting easier. Add in some good 'ol punch art, embossing and there you have it!!

I hope this shows you, you don't always have to have a certain stamp set. Use your imagination!!! or pull from another stamp set.

Country Home-So Grateful

Hi Stampers,

For today's card, I let the Designer Series Paper take the guess work out of my card. If you have a great layout, then sit back and let it do it's thing and speak for itself.  I know, I know. This coming from someone who hoards collects DSP lovingly. I also love stamping in a lighter color behind the sentiment. It really sets it off in my opinion.

Country Home-Simply Thankful

Hi Stampers,

I needed a Thank You card for someone at work so today's card is for them.  I masked off the rest of the greeting before stamping onto my cardstock. I also heat set three pieces of fun foam and stamped the tin tile emblem on it with Early Espresso ink while still hot. It is supposed to look like faux leather. I love doing this technique and have many times in the past. I then cut them out with the Stitched Framelits. I also embossed the Very Vanilla with the Tufted Embossing Folder. I also sponged around the embossed cardstock with Crumb Cake.

Country Home-Happy Harvest Blessings

Hi Stampers,

This week's featured stamp set is Country Home from the new Christmas catalog. Farmhouse decor is so popular right now. You see it everywhere for inspiration. Stampin' Up! is definitely on target with the Country Lane Suite of products. The galvanized Metallic paper is just that----galvanized. The Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder puts this suite over the top in my book.  Growing up, one of my older brothers owned a local bakery. It was housed in one of the town's old buildings that had the punched tin ceiling. When I saw the embossing folder that was the first thing that came to mind. I also love using Crushed Curry for Fall/Autumn cards. I heat embossed with black embossing powder on the galvanized Metallic paper also.
