Hi Ladies,
How would you like to get more out of your thinlits? How about a stamp? Well, then I have the project for you!!!
I got this idea awhile back, I believe, on Patty Bennett's blog. You make your own stamp from adhesive backed fun foam and a thinlit. You cut out a thinlit diecut from adhesive backed fun foam. I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby for under a $1. You will need an extra wooden block like you use to mount the wood stamps. My husband being a woodworker definitely had some in his stash. Peel off the adhesive from the die cut and adhere to the wood block. Now, you WILL NOT be able to clean this stamp with stamp cleaner!!!! Ask me how I know? LOL
I stamped the stamp in VersaMark and then used clear embossing powder.
Here are the adhesive sheets. I bought white.
Here is the first card:
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Love, homemade Bloomin' Heart thinlit
Ink: Versamark, Clear embossing powder, Rose Red
Paper: Love Blossoms DSP, Whisper White, Shimmery White
Accessories: Triple trio punch, pearls, dimensionals, SNAIL, sponge Rose Red around heart stamp.
Here is the second card:
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Bloomin' Love, homemade Bloomin' Heart Thinlit
Ink: Versamark, Clear embossing powder, Memento Black
Paper: Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Love Blossoms DSP
Accessories: Blushing Bride rhinestone trim, pearls, dimensionals, SNAIL
This is after I cleaned on my stampin' scrub.
The second card that is posted I cleaned the homemade stamp on my stamp pad which obviously had red ink residue on it. It stained the foam "stamp" . I actually like it though. It is very close to being Blushing Bride.
I hope you will give this technique a try and get more bang for your buck so to speak!!!
Thank you for visiting my blog!!!
