DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #289-Tropical Chic #2

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back for another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. When I started challenging myself to create a week's worth of cards and/or 3D items focusing on one stamp set, I really surprised myself. I honestly didn't know if I could do or not. But, with Tropical Chic being the third stamp set I'm on and this is the second week for that!!! I hope you are not getting sick bored of seeing the same stamp set for 2 weeks. It is making me so happy that I am getting ink all over instead of dust. I will finish out this week with Tropical Chic. So, keeping with MY challenge here is today's card.

I am just loving the new color Granny Apple Green!!! Great color!!!

It's A Jungle In Here!!!

Hi Stampers,

I have had today's card rolling around in my head for some time. I think it would make a cute card for Halloween with a twist. I'm happy with the results but for some reason my clear embossing powder is showing up with white flecks in it in EVERY single pic I took. Sigh......I hope you like it.

I love the Make A Difference Alphabet stamp set. It's great to be able to spell any sentiment. Make sure you add it with the Tropical Chic to your shopping cart today!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Tropical Chic All White

Hi Stampers,

Today's card I chose to stamp in VersaMark with white embossing powder. I just love the simplicity of it. No ribbon, no embellishments. What do ya think?

Sometimes less is more!!!

This is  a great stamp set!!! Make sure you order today using the Hostess Code: 2TUES96T. If you order is $30 or more you get the summer lantern pdf FREE!!!

Tropical Chic Clear Embossing Card

Hi Stampers,

Today's card features the Tropical Chic stamp set (surprised?). This time I used clear embossing powder for the leaves on the black.  I am really loving the new colors Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green. Don't get me wrong, as I do like the colors in the Tropical Chic DSP, I choose to use BRIGHT colors for a tropical card. For some reason in all my pics, it looks like there are white flecks in my clear embossing powder. Maybe it is the lighting or an optical illusion.

Tropical Chic We Make a Great Pair

Hi Stampers,

I was surfing the internet and Pinterest for ideas for today's card. I found a card I wanted to case from my upline, Dawn Olchefske.

I just turned the card to landscape and made it my own with different stamp sets and colors. Where do you find your inspiration? Do you have a go-to layout? I would love to hear your ideas!!!

I decided to make my own background stamped cardstock like Dawn's card. I also masked off the "pineapple" (pine cone from Christmas Pines) and used the "evergreen" for the pineapple topper. I like how I was able to use a Christmas stamp set for a tropical card!!!  Who knew? I also used the sentiment from Animal Outing. I even remembered to stamp the inside AND the envelope. Boy, I was on a roll!!!

I hope I was able to INSPIRE you in some way!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #288-Tropical Chic

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back to another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. This week's challenge we are to use the new 2018-2020 In Colors. In keeping with my personal challenge of using a Stamp Set Bundle for a week, I made a set of 3 x 3 cards with a box using the Tropical Chic bundle.

This would be a cute set to give to a friend, coworkers....etcetera. I also remembered to stamp the envelopes.

I just love these bright and cheery in colors!!! I used the adidrondack chair from Colorful Seasons and the sun is from the Waterfront stamp set.

I just LOVE the leaf square die in this set.  I popped it up with mini dimensionals. This die cut is perfect size for the box too!!!

The Granny Apple Green ribbon matches perfectly!!! You don't have to seal the top, just tie ribbon around the box and then in a bow.

Hi Stampers,

This week (and possibly next) I will be focusing on the Tropical Chic bundle. It goes well with the weather we are having here in Michigan!!! 90's and above!!! WHEW!!! I got out my retired fringe scissors and went to town. I also used the new embossing powder in the new 2018-2020 in colors. Perfect for a tropical card!!!

It almost makes you want to hula!!! LOL I know I will be using this embossing powder a lot!!!

Painted Glass Screen Divider Card

Hi Stampers,

For today's card I decided to make a screen divider card using the Graceful Glass designer vellum. I just love this vellum---so delicate and intricate. I also used my blends for the coloring. I mounted the vellum onto a piece of Whisper White before adhering to the card. I could have cut out the Old Olive and adhered the vellum like the top portion but I chose not too. To make this card you need a piece of cardstock cut at 5-1/2 x 11. Along the 11 inch side, you need to score at 2-3/4, 5-1/2 and 8-1/4 inches. I used the Everyday Label Punch to punch out along the bottom of the card.

When you place a $30 or more order in my online store with the Hostess Code 2TUES96T, you will get the tutorial for the tealight lantern FREE!!! This tutorial shows you how to make the Summer Lantern using the Graceful Glass designer vellum. Once you place your $30 or more order in my online store, I will email you the pdf. If your order is more than $150 DO NOT USE THE HOSTESS CODE as you will receive hostess reward benefits.

Make sure you place the Graceful Glass bundle in your shopping cart today!!!

Painted Glass Sympathy Card

Hi Stampers,

Today's card is made with ......yup, you guessed it.....Painted Glass stamp set. I just had to use my new Tufted embossing folder on the gold sheets. They look like quilted puffs. I used gold embossing powder on the medallion stamp and the sentiment flag.

Remember, if you would like to recreate this card, you can order all the supplies in my online store. Make sure you add the supplies to your shopping cart today!!!

Painted Glass Triple Time Stamping

Hi Stampers,

Back with another card using the Painted Glass stamp set. This time I used the technique called Triple Time Stamping. The medallion stamp in this set is excellent to use for this technique. I also used a new color-Balmy Blue. This is such a pretty blue!!

You cut all of your white bases and temporarily adhere them to stamp all 3 layers at once!!!

Whisper White cut at:

2 x 3-1/4                3 x 4-1/4                4 x 5-1/4

Mats are cut at:

2-1/4 x 3-1/2        3 -1/4 x 4-1/2        Base of card: 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

After stamping, take them apart and adhere the Whisper White pieces to their coordinating mat. I used dimensionals in between the layers.

I also have an embossed card for you using the same stamp set and colors. I used white embossing powder and used a sponge dauber dipped in Balmy Blue.

I hope you are able to give this technique a try!!
