The Fighting Irish

Hi Stampers,

My nephew Christopher's birthday is today. He and his wife, Heather, have 3 of the prettiest little girls and are currently stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I think he is the biggest Notre Dame fan there is so I had to find a way to get this on a card. Well, I found these beverage napkins on Amazon and I made a napkin card. I still had the Sizzix adhesive sheets, heat and stick powder and the Irisidecent Powder in my stash. Imagine that?!!! My card is a 5 x 5 so I could make more out of the napkin. I used our Gold Foil cardstock as a layer to give more stability to the card. I also had retired In Color Envelope Paper in my stash to make a Cucumber Crush envelope with the envelope punch board!!!

Napkin Card Instructions:

 1.  Cut your card's top layer. Cut the same size of a piece of Sizzix Multipurpose Adhesive sheets. Peel off one of the layers of the adhesive sheet and adhere the card layer to this.

2 . Take the napkin and GENTLY pull the 2 layers apart. Cut around the area of the napkin you intend to use on your card.

3. Peel the last adhesive cover off.

4. Place the napkin on this and smooth out all wrinkles.

5. Take VersaMark and press all over the napkin.

6. Sprinkle Heat and Stick Powder all over this, covering completely. Shake off excess.

7.  Emboss with heat gun.

8. Sprinkle Irridescent Ice all over this portion. Shake off excess.

9. Emboss with heat gun.

10. Apply this card layer on your card.

I hope you give this a try. I have found this is a great technique for creating favorite team sports cards for your sports enthusiast who has everything.

Stamparatus Has Arrived!!!

Hi Stampers,

As a Stampin' Up! demo, often times we get to order products prior to being released to the public. The Stamparatus was one of those perks for being a demo. We got to order this in December and I received it last week. These will be available in the 2018-2019 Annual catalog. These are great for lining up stamps to get the best image. I have had my project in my mind for awhile and with the Stamparatus it makes it SO MUCH easier!!!

We have several framelits, thinlits and such in our catalog. I am still focused on my Lemon Zest stamp set and punch. With the popularity of essential oils, I thought it would be fun to make some DIY air fresheners. My daughter gave me a stack of chipboard coasters a long time ago and I have been waiting for the "perfect" project. Well, this is it!!! I stamped approximately 3 times for each image. I used the Lemon and Mandarin essential oils. I bought mine at Walmart. They were located in the candle section for your reference. I loved how the Stitched circle framelit fit it perfectly to cut out!!  Please don't use your Lemon Builder punch as these are too thick and will end up breaking your punch. I also bought Pine essential oil and I want to make some Christmas trees with our Perfect Pines framelits at Christmas time!!!

This is how I used it on my Stamparatus after cutting it our with the Stitched circle framelit. I flipped it over and stamped on the back.

I just applied 3-4 drops of the oil on the backside on the image (if you don't want to stamp both side). I then used my 1/4 inch circle punch so I could insert the ribbon. I still had some 3 x 3 cellophane bags and placed them inside for packaging. Our regular clear envelopes also work great for these too.

I hope I was able to inspire you in some way and I hope you give this a try!!!

Thanks for stopping!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #271-Lemon Builder Punch

Hi Stampers,

We have my fav this week---a sketch pad challenge!!! I have NEVER had a card come together so fast. I was even giddy about it!! Usually what I attempt to do and finish what I do, are 2 different things. If only all my cards were like this!!!

As you can see, I am showing some love to my Lemon Builder Punch and Lemon Zest stamp set. Even though Sale-A-Bration is going on, there are many stamp sets I haven't even used in my stash!!! I did use the fun Tutti Fruitti DSP for this card. The prints in this set are so bright and colorful and YUMMY!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #270-Lots of Lavender (in Copper)

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is use anything from Sale-A-Bration. I swore to myself I didn't need the Lots of Lavender stamp set but it ended up at my house anyways. Those stamp sets have a mind of their own I'm telling ya!!! Anyways with the release of the 2nd set of Sale-A-Bration items - actually the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP- I thought lets use the stamp set and emboss in copper. This DSP is GORGEOUS on it's own-very thick and shiny. I combined it all together along with the sentiment from Heartfelt Blooms. VOILA!!! My card is done.

3D Lemon Builder Punch

Hi Stampers,

I found this cute little lemon shape filled hand cream at the dollar store. I thought why not pull out my Lemon Builder Punch and the Lemon Zest stamp set and give it some love!! I removed the inside container and measured it. I replaced it with Old Olive cardstock and Delightful Daisy DSP.

The little fruit shaped hand creams came in apple, pear, lemon and peach. The lemon hand cream smells like the real thing!!!!

I hope you give this project a try!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

3D Kisses Treat Holder

Hi Stampers,

I'm back with a cute little 3D kisses treat holder perfect for all of your Valentines. I have included the template for the Kisses shape for the front and back of the box. I used the sentiment from January 2018 Paper Pumpkin that says Sending Hugs and Kisses to You. I embossed this in white embossing powder and die cut with the heart shape thinlit. I also used the Seaside embossing folder to make the crinkles on the Silver Foil. WARNING: Be very careful as the Silver Foil will tear. Try using  only one of the embossing plates first and go from there as everyone's Big Shot is calibrated differently. I used the sentiments XOXO and LOVE from the kit and stamped in Real Red on vellum. I then dried it with my heat gun. I then waded this piece up to look like the paper from a real Hershey's kiss and attached with a glue dot. I filled the box with red crinkle paper and Hershey's Cherry kisses. WOW!!! Are those ever DELISH!!! (Ask me how I know) lol  The treat holder box is made using a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 6". Score along the 4-1/4" at 1 inch and 3-1/4". Score on the 6" side at 2-1/4" and 3-3/4". Burnish folds and cut the knotches. I used tear and tape to secure together and to secure to the Kiss template.

I hope you give this treat holder a try!!!

Heartfelt Love Notes January 2018 Paper Pumpkin

Hi Stampers,

Have you seen the Heartfelt Love Notes January 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit?

I finally had some time to myself this weekend to just play!!! Boy did that seem good. I was going to put this month's Paper Pumpkin box on the pile of previous ones and decided I am going to start playing instead. Here is one I came up with.  I just LOVE the copper hearts and I played off of those. I die cut a heart from the Bloomin' Hearts thinlit and popped it up with dimensionals to adhere to the heart paper in the kit. I didn't want the beautiful copper foil to go to waste being hidden behind DSP so I made my own faux copper paper. I took a piece of 4 x 5-1/4" Whisper White cardstock and placed the edges all the way around in VersaMark ink. Sprinkle copper embossing powder on it and heat it up with the heat gun. VOILA!!!

I think it turned out just great!!! I hope you give this a try!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #267-Birthday Wit

Well, welcome back to me!!! I didn't post at all the whole month of January!!! Unfortunately, time does not stand still. I needed a rest to just breathe after the holidays. So lets fast forward to this week's DOStamper Stars challenge---sketch pad #267.

This sketch is great, it came together very fast for me as I needed a card for our eldest grandson's birthday. He is turning 18!!!! I'm just completely speechless. I thought our children grew up fast. Add the grandchildren and POUF!!!! Connor has turned into an amazing, loving, kindhearted young man and we couldn't be any prouder. He is on the wrestling team and loves it. So, yes, I did cheat because I used my Cricut. Does it count though I used the medal from the World's Best Trophy set and the sentiment from the Birthday Wit stamp set?

The Pacific Point ribbon trim is perfect for this card!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #260-Celebrate the Season

Hi Stampers,

Back for another Stars Thursday Challenge. When I saw the colors, I thought what the heck? To be honest, not something I would pull together. Well, it is a challenge for a reason, right? LOL I actually like how my card turned out!!! Surprise, surprise, right? Right now, we are in the middle of a major snowstorm. My husband is out plowing the driveway and there is about 7-8 inches of the beautiful white stuff. It certainly puts you in the Christmas mood. Especially while I am inside where it is warm and cozy, crafting. LOL Got love that!!!

I just love the basic black shimmer ribbon!! It is gorgeous in real life!! I hope I was able to inspire you in some way!!! Go get your craft on!!!
