Okay....back to my post (sorry I get carried away at sales). I saw this cute card on Facebook and she was so kind to send me the directions. I would give you her blog information but she doesn't have one although she should!!! But, thank you Lizzie!!!

And, it even folds flat for mailing just like the popular box cards!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #223-My Hero

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is a sketch pad. I was making this sketch WAY to hard. I left the table and came back and VOILA!!! I stress myself out for no reason. LOL I can't wait to see what the other STARS came up with!!

I love the bright colors I used. Who doesn't like bright colors for Easter eggs? My Hero stamp set is perfect for the holidays. It is a very versatile set. Also, to make the eggs I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch and just cut the tail of the balloon off after I punched.

Stamp Set: My Hero

Ink: Melon Mambo

Paper: Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Festive Birthday DSP

Accessories: Big Shot, Stitched Framelits, paper trimmer, Melon Mambo ribbon, dimensionals, SNAIL, rhinestones, Balloon Bouquet Punch, glue dots

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #221-Cookie Cutter Easter

Hi Stampers,

We are having a Home Sweet Home challenge. The chocolate looks great doesn't it? My eyes were on the peeps. Growing up, I got these suckers every year in my Easter basket and every year I complained I didn't like them!!! LOL Anyways, I guess they kind of reminded me of my childhood so that is where the inspiration came from. HOWEVER, I do not own the Basket Bunch in the Occasions catalog. (I know, shocker, right?) So I got creative and created my "own" peeps out of the Cookie Cutter punch. All you do is punch whatever color you want and trim the sides off with scissors. Easy, peasy!!! I dipped the end of my stylus in Basic Black ink for the eyes and nose. Doesn't get much easier than that!!!

I removed 2-1/4" from the top of the card.

Stamp Set: Labeler Alphabet, Cookie Cutter Christmas

Ink: Basic Black, Crushed Curry

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush, Soft Sky, Whisper White

Accessories: Cookie Cutter Punch, scissors, dimensionals, fringe scissors, SNAIL

Easter Peeps with Cool Treats

Hi Stampers,

I got some play time this past weekend and got to unleash my creativity. I just received the Cool Treats Suite in my order. I have seen so many cool cards with this set and couldn't wait to make some of my own. However, my mind is on Easter and this is what I came up with----Peeps from the "ice cream"!!!

You just stamp, cut out with the framelit and then cut again with the framelit moved up a little.

Here is my card:

Stamp Set: Cool Treats

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Early Espresso marker for "eye"

Paper: Pool Party, Tasty Treats DSP, Whisper White

Easter Egg Hunt

I can't believe Easter is this weekend!!! I love the fringe scissors and all the cards out there that have the fringe on them. So, I decided to turn the fringe upside down and make a grass card with hidden bunnies and eggs!!! I don't know about you but we plan on having an Easter egghunt for the grandchildren. Can't wait!!!

Cut Garden Green in 1-1/2" strips and then cut with fringe scissors.

Stamp Set: Crazy About You

Ink: Rose Red for sponging, Memento Black

Paper: Garden Green, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Subtles designer series paper (DSP)-retired

Accessories: Fringe scissors, tear tape, oval punch-retired, festive flower builder punch, 1-1/2" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, dimensionals, pearls colored with black Sharpie, black marker, sponge, SNAIL, washi tape punch

There is only one week left of Sale-A-Bration but there is still time to order!! Snowman Friends Chick Tag

After playing around a bit with the Snow Friends Framelits Dies I came up with another Easter idea. Love it when that happens!!!

Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Snow Place

Ink: Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie marker, Memento Black

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral designer series paper (retired)

Accessories: Banner Punch, scalloped tag topper punch, metallic doily (turned over), Snow Friends framelits dies, black sharpie marker, pearls, washi tape punch, fringe scissors, dimensionals, SNAIL, Pumpkin Pie ribbon, white baker's twine, 1/2" circle punch for mask

Directions:  First you will stamp the penguin stamp with Crushed Curry onto a piece of Whisper White and die cut with the penguin framelit. Next, mask off the face of the small snowman stamp with a post-it note. Stamp onto Soft Suede ink. Remove mask. Stamp snowman onto a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock. Die cut with small snowman framelit. Color small pearls with a black sharpie marker and let dry. Cut a small piece of Pumpkin Pie folded into a beak and adhere with a half of a glue dot. Put on eyes. Put dimensionals on back and adhere to penguin die cut. Color feet with a Pumpkin Pie marker. Complete the rest of tag and put together. That's it!! Isn't that cute?
