DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #244-Snowflake Sentiments

#244

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back!!! We have a Color My World challenge this week which just screams CHRISTMAS!!! (Ok, well, at least to me) Cherry Cobbler is my all time fav of all the Stampin' Up! colors and I couldn't wait to use it this week for my card.

Instead of banging my head against the wall, an idea popped into my head and I went with it.

I got to use my new Everyday Label Punch (available Sept.1) and a new stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments (available Sept.1) This could be you playing with new products if you sign up as a new demo!!

I also used the hollyberry stamp and punch from Holly Berry Happiness.

A very quick and cute card!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #243-Thanks A Latte

#243

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back!!! This week for our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we have a sketch pad challenge. LOVE THESE!!! As far as I am concerned, the work is cut out for you---grab a stamp set and DSP and BOOM!!! Card is done.

I am in love with the stamp set Coffee Cafe and the matching framelits. Probably because I am a HUGE coffee lover. As soon as I saw this set it was on my order. I have been trying to use up my hoarded beloved DSP. Maybe it is a good thing they retired their color family stacks of DSP. I think I have enough for at least three lifetimes. LOL

I keep forgetting to use my brights enamel dots. So stinkin' cute!!!

REMEMBER With the exception of the retired DSP you can order everything to make this card in my online store.  Be sure to check it out!!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #242-Autumn Happy Celebrations

#242

Hi Stampers,

This week on our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we have a product spotlight. We are to use the Stampin' Up! Ink Refills. I reached for my Happy Celebrations and Colorful Seasons stamps sets along with the coordinating embossing folder and framelits. I also used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Cajun Craze reinkers. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to achieve the results. I also made a Twist Card.

I guess because it is August already I was thinking back to school, fall, shorter days, cooler days..... etcetera.

I love how it turned out!!! I just love Fall and all the rich regal colors!!! It will be here soon enough!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #241- Oh So Eclectic

#241

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is a Home Sweet Home challenge and I reached for my new stamp set Oh So Eclectic!!!! I have been wanting to use this and I also incorporated it into my summer theme for this week.

First off, I made my own DSP. I just took colors from the photo, inked up my stamps and went to town on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I then traced my flip flop template and cut out by hand. I have even included a template for you and the text. I was stumped for finding just the right sentiment. So, Voila!!! I typed my own!!! Enjoy!!!

DSCN0145

All I could find on the internet were flip flop templates that were too large for Stampin' Up! envelopes so I made my own. If you cut a card base of 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and fold in half, as if you were making a card, place the one template on the fold line, trace and then cut out. I hope this makes sense (?) As always, if you have any questions please feel free to shoot me an email. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Here it is open.

Berry Burst is my FAV new in color this year but Lemon Lime Twist is a close second, so of course, I had to make one in those colors too!!! LOL I popped the toe thong up on dimensionals to give more of a 3D effect. I think these are so cute!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #237-Window Box Thinlits Lantern

#237

Hi Stampers,

I really like the patriotic colors in the above photo. In staying with the theme, I chose to make a paper lantern out of the window box thinlits. The first one I made I also cut Whisper White pieces to go on the lantern and it made it a little heavy. It would be great to be hung up but not sitting on a table.

DSCN0134

This is the second one and I only made one window box "frame" for the bottom. I also didn't attach a second layer of cardstock. You could attach string to the top to hang it or just use as a table decoration.

These are the cute little battery operated tealights I found at Dollar Tree.

Wishing you an early safe Fourth of July!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #235-Mixed Drinks

#235

Hi Stampers,

Back for a sketch pad challenge for the DOStamper Stars group. In keeping with today's theme, I made a Father's Day card for my hubby. He has worked so hard for this award card. He practices and practices to hone his skills and I am finally praising and recognizing him for his talent. I know he will appreciate this card and probably even get a little teary eyed when he sees it.

DSCN0064

DSCN0065

I used Wink of Stella on the "suds" but it doesn't really show up.

I used the new Color Theory DSP and mini chevron ribbon along with the glitter enamel dots. The sentiment is part World's Best Trophy and Labeler Alphabet stamp sets. The World's Best Trophy stamp set you get 53 stamps!!! Well worth it's weight in gold IMO!!!

REMEMBER: You can order everything to make this card in my online store

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #234-In the City

#234

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is a product spotlight showcasing the new In Colors!!! I chose to use Berry Burst. I needed a baby card and I really like the deep pink color. I think this is my new fav. I also used the new Hostess Set In the City. You definitely get more bang for your buck with this set. You get----60 photopolymer stamps with this set!!!! There are so many possibilities with this set. I knew I wanted to use the new Color Theory DSP.  One of the selections looks like paint chip samples. I saw a card from Debbie Henderson using the Color Theory DSP HERE. I loved the layout of her card---I believe she called it a Z fold. I just swapped out the colors. Love this paper stack!!! I also used the new Glitter Enamel Dots.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #232-Happy Celebrations

#232

Hi Stampers,

What a colorful combo we have this week for our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. I finally got to ink up a new set that was in the Occasions catalog and will be carried over to the new on June 1. I am always in need of birthday cards so that is what I went with.

DSCN0002

DSCN0005

You emboss first with the coordinating embossing folder and then stamp with the inks. They emboss quite deep. I noticed I did use a little too much pressure on my stamps and the ink got inside the grooves of the debossed area. Oh well. I'm still happy with it.

Don't forget you only have 6 more days to order from the Occasions catalog!!! Place your order now!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #230-Gifts from the Garden-free pdf!!!

#230

Hi Stampers,

Back for another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge!! This week we are focusing on retiring stamp sets. Yup, you know the drill, the ones that are walking the stamping plank. The retiring stamp sets will continue to be made through May 22. After that, it is solely as supplies last. So, be sure to place your order today!!!!

Because of upcoming Mother's Day, I chose to use the retiring stamp set Gifts from the Garden and Greatest Greetings. I made little flower pot holders. You can either put a pellet refill in the bottom and roll up a seed packet OR you can buy a little succulent plant. You can also make your own with the Oh So Succulent bundle. The greeting from Greatest Greeting is perfect for these!! You grow girl!!!
