DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #230-Gifts from the Garden-free pdf!!!

Hi Stampers,

Back for another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge!! This week we are focusing on retiring stamp sets. Yup, you know the drill, the ones that are walking the stamping plank. The retiring stamp sets will continue to be made through May 22. After that, it is solely as supplies last. So, be sure to place your order today!!!!

Because of upcoming Mother's Day, I chose to use the retiring stamp set Gifts from the Garden and Greatest Greetings. I made little flower pot holders. You can either put a pellet refill in the bottom and roll up a seed packet OR you can buy a little succulent plant. You can also make your own with the Oh So Succulent bundle. The greeting from Greatest Greeting is perfect for these!! You grow girl!!!

Okay....back to my post (sorry I get carried away at sales). I saw this cute card on Facebook and she was so kind to send me the directions. I would give you her blog information but she doesn't have one although she should!!! But, thank you Lizzie!!!

And, it even folds flat for mailing just like the popular box cards!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #225-Double Ribbon

Hi Stampers,

Back today with a DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. We have a home sweet home challenge. The pic reminds me of Spring that is coming---oh, wait-I live in Michigan and we are under a Winter Weather Advisory!!!! LOL Snow forecast for today and tomorrow and then 60-70 degree weather this weekend!!! Crazy!!!!

I used a cute little trick I learned from my awesome upline Dawn Olchefske. You use a 1/2" circle punch and then thread your ribbon through it.

Inside of the card:

I tried it first with some thinner ribbon but my hole showed through. So I used some retired ribbon which was thicker. It definitely seemed to work better. I hope you will give this a try!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #223-My Hero

Hi Stampers,

This week's challenge is a sketch pad. I was making this sketch WAY to hard. I left the table and came back and VOILA!!! I stress myself out for no reason. LOL I can't wait to see what the other STARS came up with!!

I love the bright colors I used. Who doesn't like bright colors for Easter eggs? My Hero stamp set is perfect for the holidays. It is a very versatile set. Also, to make the eggs I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch and just cut the tail of the balloon off after I punched.

Stamp Set: My Hero

Ink: Melon Mambo

Paper: Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Festive Birthday DSP

Accessories: Big Shot, Stitched Framelits, paper trimmer, Melon Mambo ribbon, dimensionals, SNAIL, rhinestones, Balloon Bouquet Punch, glue dots

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #222-Black Magic

Hi Stampers,

This week for our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we have a product spotlight using Watercolor Pencils. If you have them, you know how great they color. They are smooth as silk. A few weeks back my upline, Dawn Olchefske, posted some cards on her blog utilizing the Black Magic Technique. This is such a cool technique and has been around for a long time but I have never tried it until now. All you do is stamp in White Craft Ink (let it dry naturally) or use your heat gun as it does take a little bit for it to dry on Basic Black or any other dark cardstock. Then you just color and highlight with the chalk marker (if you want). For those that like the ever popular adult coloring books this would be great for you to make your own!!!

I used the Melon Mambo watercolor pencil. Then I just cut freehand around the flowers.

Stamp Set: Rose Wonder, Garden in Bloom

Ink: White craft ink

Paper: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Whisper White

Accessories: White doilies, white baker's twine, SNAIL, dimensionals, Big Shot, scissors, rhinestones, Rose Garden thinlits

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #221-Cookie Cutter Easter

Hi Stampers,

We are having a Home Sweet Home challenge. The chocolate looks great doesn't it? My eyes were on the peeps. Growing up, I got these suckers every year in my Easter basket and every year I complained I didn't like them!!! LOL Anyways, I guess they kind of reminded me of my childhood so that is where the inspiration came from. HOWEVER, I do not own the Basket Bunch in the Occasions catalog. (I know, shocker, right?) So I got creative and created my "own" peeps out of the Cookie Cutter punch. All you do is punch whatever color you want and trim the sides off with scissors. Easy, peasy!!! I dipped the end of my stylus in Basic Black ink for the eyes and nose. Doesn't get much easier than that!!!

I removed 2-1/4" from the top of the card.

Stamp Set: Labeler Alphabet, Cookie Cutter Christmas

Ink: Basic Black, Crushed Curry

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Cucumber Crush, Soft Sky, Whisper White

Accessories: Cookie Cutter Punch, scissors, dimensionals, fringe scissors, SNAIL

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #220-Celebrate!!!

Hi Stampers,

Back with another DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #220. We are now into the month of March (how did that happen?) and the last month of Sale-A-bration!!! Remember you get to pick an item from the Saleabration choices when your order placed is more than $50 or more (before shipping/handling).

If the colors look familiar for this week's challenge, they are the colors that are highlighted in the gorgeous Falling In Love DSP. I have a couple of weddings this summer and what an appropriate name of a suite to use for them -- Falling In Love!!! I now have one card out of the way, way ahead of schedule!!! LOL I don't know about you but I just love shabby chic. For some people this design comes so easy but for others (like me) I REALLY have to try. The pics really don't do justice in my opinion. It really turned out quite soft and just plain pretty. I just got the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and love how they deboss. I also used some of my Blushing Bride sequin trim and the new delicate lace doilies. I also sponged Soft Sky with a sponge over the debossing to highlight it a little more.

Stamp Set: Falling For You

Ink: Soft Sky, Basic Black

Paper: Soft Sky, Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Lace Doilies, Blushing Bride sequin trim, Very Vanilla lace trim, paper trimmer, glue dots, dimensionals, SNAIL, Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
