Gift Bag Punch Board Turkey

Hi Stampers,

I wanted to share with you what I made to put on the table at Thanksgiving. Little bags of roasted peanuts made with the gift bag punch board. I used the gorgeous foil doilies for the turkey tail. I then used the retired Snow Friends framelit dies for the front of the body of the turkey, the hat which I trimmed a little to look more "pilgrim-y" and the feet. The  2-1/4" Starburst punch I used for the back of the body. The DSP is from the Merry Little Christmas DSP which I colored with Cajun Craze!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #253-Tootsie Pop Pumpkin Holders

#253

Hi Stampers,

Welcome back to this week's DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. We are having a Home Sweet Home challenge. I drew inspiration from the pumpkins on the pillows. I immediately turned to the Christmas catalog drooling over the Pick A Pumpkin bundle. Since I do not own that set (yet--will be ordered this weekend!!!) Isn't it great that Stampin' Up! offers these in a bundle to save you 10%?

I decided to CASE a project I saw on Pinterest. I know they are simple but I am keeping with the theme of Halloween treat holders on my blog. It is this cute little tootsie pop sucker holder. All you need to do is cut out 6 of the "pumpkins" from the oval and circle layering framelits, fold in half and glue. When you come to your last pair to adhere, slip in your tootsie pop. I then measured the "stick" or "stem" and cut a piece of Old Olive cardstock and glued this around the stem. I cut two punched leaves from the new leaf punch and adhered onto the stem. You could run these through an embossing folder or stamp some great images but I didn't really feel the necessity because basically a child is just going to rip this open. LOL

Easy peasy!!! I hope you are able to make some of this pumpkins for your pumpkins!!!!

Haunted House Treat Holder with the Gift Bag Punch Board

Hi Stampers,

I know everyone is getting into the Halloween mood so this house is perfect for you. I don't know about you but I prefer "cutesy" to scary. Maybe because we live in a rural area and unless my husband is home with me at night I hear every noise and bump in the night. I was looking for a cute Halloween treat bag on Pinterest and found many templates but then I had a real "DUH" moment----use your Gift Bag Punch Board silly!!!! The "upstairs" I downsized from coloring pages to fit my bag. I made the medium sized bag and cut my cardstock 6 x 11. I have provided the template and punches on a pdf for you. The oval windows are made using Stampin' Up's retired oval punch. The smaller oval windows are the "legs" from the Cookie Cutter punch. The door is from Stampin' Up! retired Label punch. The small circle window is the 3/4" circle punch. Also, after you cut out the templates for the "upstairs" fold a piece of cardstock in half and place the top of the "upstairs" template on the fold line to get a front and back. Secure the upstairs to the bag with tear and tape. The ghosts are made with the wing of the retired bird punch. I also stamped Basic Gray with the Hardwood Stamp on the bag to look like wood siding. I sponged all the way around with Memento Black Ink. Don't forget to add your candy before securing the bag!!! You don't want to disappoint the kiddos!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #252-Hello Fall

#252

Hi Stampers,

We are having a color challenge this week. Actually, these are not colors I would reach for and put together but I made it work. All three colors are in the Painted Autumn DSP making it easier. I chose a sentiment from the Merry Cafe stamp set and masked off part of the saying, only using Hello Fall. I also used the beautiful Pool Party satin ribbon and the leaf punch.

I am LOVIN' the mini stampin' dimensionals!!! I used them to "pop" up the leaf punched framelit. They were the perfect size for this card. I also used them behind my sentiment.

Remember, if you would like to recreate this card for yourself, you can order all the supplies in my online store.

Thanks for hopping by!!!

Candy Corn Treat Holder

DSCN0135

Hi Stampers,

Isn't this just the cutest little candy corn treat holder? I just love his face!!!

I thought I would make these for my grandchildren. They all love the candy corn mixed with peanuts. It tastes just like you are eating a Payday candy bar. Even the older two-Connor and Logan, like it. Speaking of which, we met them to take pictures for Homecoming. When did they become a freshman and junior and 6'3" and 6'4" respectively?!!!!

I even typed up a pdf for you which there are 2 parts.

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #249-I am Thankful for You

#249

Hi Stampers,

This week's sketch is all about home to me. At this time of the year, I always feel like "nesting". Don't you? Cooking, baking, decorating your home for comfort and what not. Well my card this week shows the beautiful fall colors showing in my neighborhood. Such a vibrant pallet and just plain gorgeous. I used sponge daubers in Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock to get the colors of my leaves. I then used the leaf framelit from Colorful Season to cut them out. Some of the leaves I "popped" up on dimensionals to give even more dimension. I also punched out some leaves from the new leaf punch. The wood textures paper  worked great for my background. I then cut out a wreath from the Swirly Scribbles and embossed the sentiment from Painted Harvest in gold.

Painted Harvest Cut Away Card

Hi Stampers,

I think I am stuck in Painted Harvest mode. I guess with the changing colors occurring earlier this year and just the feeling of Fall in the air it's easy to reach for this stamp set. This time I used the cut away card technique. I managed to use some retired dsp in Elegant Eggplant and the same color in candy dots. The flower is stamped in Elegant Eggplant and Perfect Plum. For the center of the flower I used Wisteria Wonder with Elegant Eggplant dots.

Window Flip Card with Painted Harvest

Hi Stampers,

Yes, I reached for my Painted Harvest stamp set AGAIN!!! LOL This time I actually made a sunflower with it and used the Window Flip Card Technique. The sentiments I used are from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

DSCN0205

I used the new Everyday Label  punch and attached a scrap piece of cardstock to the piece I punched out back  into the punch to make it smaller.

This is the inside of the card:

This is the backside of the card:

Window Flip Card Instructions:

There are three main pieces of cardstock on this card:

  • 4-1/4" x 5-3/8" Crushed Curry cardstock
  • 3-1/2" x 5-3/8" Whisper White cardstock
  • 3" x 11" Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2"

Make sure you use a strong adhesive like Fast Fuse or Sticky Strip to adhere the flap behind the card. I used the green tombow glue on mine.

Punch a 2" circle from the front of the Garden Green cardstock. I ran my through the Big Shot with the petal burst embosssing folder.

Be sure to add the Painted Harvest Bundle to your shopping bag!

Triple Time Stamping with Painted Harvest

Hi Stampers,

I used the triple time stamping technique with the new Painted Harvest stamp set. This time I stamped with colors of pink. For this card I used Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry on Very Vanilla cardstock. I used some retired ribbon in Rich Razzleberry. The sentiment is stamped with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I used the stitched oval framelits to cut out the sentiment.
