For our challenge this week we are to use one of the three 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Say that fast 20 times!!! WHEW!!! I only have one of them as the others are still on my wish list. It happens to be the cable knit embossing folder. It is perfect for the upcoming cooler season---think of bonfires, sweaters, scarves....... My favorite time of year!!!
I scoured Pinterest and found a card similar to the one I made. I just changed up the greeting, ribbon and added pearls.
I just made my own template and used the 1-1/2" circle punch for the collar. I then ran it thru the Big Shot with the cable knit embossing folder. I loved how it turned out.
Welcome back!!! We have a Color My World challenge this week which just screams CHRISTMAS!!! (Ok, well, at least to me) Cherry Cobbler is my all time fav of all the Stampin' Up! colors and I couldn't wait to use it this week for my card.
Instead of banging my head against the wall, an idea popped into my head and I went with it.
I got to use my new Everyday Label Punch (available Sept.1) and a new stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments (available Sept.1) This could be you playing with new products if you sign up as a new demo!!
I also used the hollyberry stamp and punch from Holly Berry Happiness.
Welcome back!!! This week for our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we have a sketch pad challenge. LOVE THESE!!! As far as I am concerned, the work is cut out for you---grab a stamp set and DSP and BOOM!!! Card is done.
I am in love with the stamp set Coffee Cafe and the matching framelits. Probably because I am a HUGE coffee lover. As soon as I saw this set it was on my order. I have been trying to use up my hoarded beloved DSP. Maybe it is a good thing they retired their color family stacks of DSP. I think I have enough for at least three lifetimes. LOL
I keep forgetting to use my brights enamel dots. So stinkin' cute!!!
REMEMBER With the exception of the retired DSP you can order everything to make this card in my online store. Be sure to check it out!!!!
Back for another installment of the Lazy Days of Summer. Well, being that it is shark week on tv, I had to try to make a shark card. I know a couple of people this would be good for. You know, the kind that are going through tough times, trying times and sometimes, they needed to be reminded that, hey---You've Got This!!! The bell punch with a couple of cuts makes a great shark fin don't you think?
I hope I inspired you in some way!! Be back tomorrow for another Lazy Days of Summer post!!
This week on our DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge we have a product spotlight. We are to use the Stampin' Up! Ink Refills. I reached for my Happy Celebrations and Colorful Seasons stamps sets along with the coordinating embossing folder and framelits. I also used Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Cajun Craze reinkers. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to achieve the results. I also made a Twist Card.
I guess because it is August already I was thinking back to school, fall, shorter days, cooler days..... etcetera.
I love how it turned out!!! I just love Fall and all the rich regal colors!!! It will be here soon enough!
Today for my Lazy Days of Summer blog post, I made a Sand Castle Treat Holder. I saw one in the Silhouette Store but I don't own a Silhouette (insert sad face). So, I got out scrap paper and pencil and drew one.
Here are the four pieces you need. You can cut out the "treat holder" out of kraft cardstock-which, by the way, is coming back in the new Christmas Catalog!!!! This only uses one sheet of Gold Glimmer Paper. I thought the Gold Glimmer Paper looked like golden sand.
The treat holder "box" you will need to cut a piece of Kraft cardstock 2-1/2" x 9 inches. Score on the short side 1/2" on both sides. On the long side, score at 2" on each end.
The little circular towers I used a 3/4" circle punch to cut them out. I also used the smallest oval of the layering ovals framelits to cut out the 3 windows. I just partially die cut these and finished cutting across with scissors. I used the second bigger one to cut the door. I placed vellum on the back for the window and door covering.
I traced my pattern on the back of the Gold Glimmer Paper and cut out. In fact, you can see some of my markings in the pics.
You will need to use either Tombow green glue or tear and tape to adhere the box together. SNAIL will not hold!!!! I used dimensionals on the front of template to adhere to the bigger piece to give it some dimension.
I didn't even use any stamps on this project!!!
I found this candy at the Dollar Tree!!! Perfect for this treat holder.
