Welcome to Grads & Dads week here on my blog. The first item is a card but not a card--more like a 3D project.
The little graduation hats are made with Stampin' Up!Window Box Thinlits. You cut out two of the Window Box Thinlits. You put together just like the directions, cutting off each score "end" on only one of the diecuts as directed. You will also need to cut off the 3 tabs for the top of the box (the ones with X's)
You then cut 2 pieces of cardstock, in this case Pacific Point. Cut one 4-1/4" x 4"1/4" and one 3-3/4" x 3-3/4".
Glue the bigger piece on top of the top of the Window Box Thinlits diecut. You will need to score the other piece. Lining the point at 1-3/4" score (as in the picture). On the opposite side, line the point at 1-1/4" and score (not pictured).
Fold back the larger scored corner and glue down. Place tear and tape where shown.
Line up with the Window Box Thinlits diecut and adhere down. Die cut one "congrats" from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. Adhere across the "pocket" inside.
Wind twine around to make tassle. Adhere on top with a Metal Rimmed Pearl. Place money in "pocket."
I looked for graduation mints to put in but couldn't find any so I improvised with IceBreaker Mints. I hope you will give this a try!!
REMEMBER: You can order everything to make this card in my online store.
I'll be back tomorrow with a cute little 3D for Father's Day. Hope to see you!!!
Thank you for visiting my blog!!
