April 2017

I'm Alive

Hi Stampers,

Just wanted to let you know that I am still alive. From last Friday until this past Thursday I was out of commission with a bout of colitis. I am now playing catch up on my blog, emails, housekeeping, life in general. It seemed good to be in my crafting space today. I miss it soo much when I am away. It truly is a stress reliever for me.

What's new? Well, Stampin' Up! has there retirement sale going on now in full bloom. If you want something order it now!!! Stamp sets are the only thing being made after May 22, I believe (retired).

My 5 year anniversary with Stampin' Up! was March 31 of this year. I received my pin and letter from Shelli and Sara this past week (happy mail).

I have some blog candy to celebrate this milestone too!!! Leave a comment on something you have learned from my blog and it will place you in the drawing. I will randomly pick a name this Friday, May 5.

I have also been asked to be a Guest Designer for the month of May on the website Craft Project Central. It is made of fellow Stampin' Up! demonstraters from all over. I am so honored to be asked to participate. The projects for the month are GREAT!!! I will also be giving away one month subscription to this---so STAY TUNED!!!

I did create a card for a great friend who just received a promotion at work. She deserves this as she just received her Master's Degree last year. Way to go!!!

Thank you for visiting my blog!!!

I know you are going to LOVE the new catalog! So I'm sure your next question is: How can I get a copy of the new catalog?

  • Demonstrators can view the catalog on the Demonstrator Website right now!! All demonstrators will get to pre-order a selection of products starting May 2nd and will get their physical copy of the catalog with that order or in the mail if they don't place an order by May 14.
  • Customers can get a catalog from their demonstrator during the month of May.
    • If you have ordered $50 or more from me in the past year (since June 1, 2016), you are already on my list to receive a free catalog in the mail mid-May!
    • If you are not a current customer of mine, you can place a $50 or more order from my Online Store and I will mail you a catalog for free. -OR- You can purchase a catalog for $10, which includes Priority Mail postage. Please email me and I will send you a Paypal invoice for the catalog.

Happy shopping!!!

Paper Pumpkin with a free gift!!!

Hi Stampers,

This was the kit we received for March:

There was a little flyer insert included inside the box telling us about a very special box coming in April. Here's the flyer:

Our very own Stampin' Up! CEO Sara Douglas designed the kit AND we will be receiving a bonus surprise in our boxes. Did you know you can subscribe for just one month if you want to? Or you can purchase the box through my Online Store instead of subscribing. Either way works! Just make sure you do it by tomorrow, April 10th!

Now, go to sign up!!!! I can't wait to see what we get!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #225-Double Ribbon

Hi Stampers,

Back today with a DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. We have a home sweet home challenge. The pic reminds me of Spring that is coming---oh, wait-I live in Michigan and we are under a Winter Weather Advisory!!!! LOL Snow forecast for today and tomorrow and then 60-70 degree weather this weekend!!! Crazy!!!!

I used a cute little trick I learned from my awesome upline Dawn Olchefske. You use a 1/2" circle punch and then thread your ribbon through it.

Inside of the card:

I tried it first with some thinner ribbon but my hole showed through. So I used some retired ribbon which was thicker. It definitely seemed to work better. I hope you will give this a try!!!

Organizing with Candy Dots

Hi Stampers,

I read on one of the many blogs a very cute idea for the reinkers. They used the enamel shapes to put on top so you can see what colors you have. I don't know about you but the older I get, the worse my eyesight gets. Unfortunately, I only own the bright enamel shapes and I really didn't want to just order them for the reinkers. Well, in my purged treasure trove I found the retired candy dots in all of the color families minus the in colors!!!! If you have friends that stamp you will be able to share because you only need one of each color. It makes it much easier to see which colors you have.

Isn't this a GREAT idea? I thought so!!!

Another great idea is to order the In Colors that will be retiring this year before they are SOLD OUT!! Get yours before they do!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog!!!
