Let's CASE!!!

Hi Stampers,

Have you ever CASE'D? someone? CASE stands for copy and share everything/copy and steal everything.....I've heard many different variations.. It really makes cardmaking or scrapbooking easier. For instance, my upline, Dawn Olchefske, posted this adorable card on her blog-

I chose to use the hexagon "shape" and used a different sentiment to make this card "my own". Easy, peasy, right?

Just changing things up a little bit makes this YOUR creation with using THEIR card as your inspiration. What will you CASE today now that you know the definition? Happy Stamping!!!

Hexagon Nuts About You

Hi Stampers,

I made one of the cute little Window Boxes. I  cut out the center with a stitched framelit, cut out a circle from a window sheet and adhered, then filled it with nuts along with a matching card. Wouldn't this make an endearing gift to a significant male? I tied the gorgeous Sale-A-Bration 3/8" metallic ribbon around the outside. I just love the shiny accents in this ribbon.

Stamp Set: Nuts About You (retired) Labeler Alphabet

Ink: Basic Black, Basic Gray

Paper: Real Read, Whisper White, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate

Accessories: Window Box Thinlits, Stitched Framelits, Real Red ribbon, Hexagon Dimensional Embossing Folder, sponge, rhinestones, dimensionals, window sheet, retired hexagon punch, 3/4" circle punch, Metallic Ribbon

Sale-a-Bration continues...

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #219-Moon Baby

Hi Stampers,

At DOStamper Stars we are having a sketch pad challenge this week. I decided to break out my new stamp set Moon Baby. It seems I struggle with baby cards. I need to sit down and just create a pile of them and add them to my stash. I also used my new watercolor pencils with the blender pen. These pencils are GREAT!!!  They color so smoothly!!! They also are in Stampin' Up! colors. I hope they add more colors with the new catalog coming out in June.

Stamp Set: Moon Baby

Ink: Basic Black, Blush Blossom (retired) for face

Paper: Crushed Curry, Mint Macaron, Whisper White

Accessories: White delicate doilies, Stitched Framelits, Small Star punch (retired), paper trimmer, dimensionals, rhinestones, SNAIL, Blender Pen, Watercolor Pencils

Hexagon Dimensionals Folder Beehive Gift Box

Hi Stampers,

The dimension this embossing folder gives is out of the park. It looks 3D in real life!!! Remember because it is so THICK only use one cutting pad!!! It also works great with the Window Box Thinlits. What a cute little box to give to someone sweet!!! I did sponge Crushed Curry Ink on the box after embossing to highlight the hexagons. I used the You're So Sweet for the sentiment. How appropriate for this project, huh?

The little bees are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit dies. A clever trick my upline, Dawn Olchefske, shared is punch a 1/2" circle and adhere to the back along with 1/4 of one.

Here is top view of the box:

I have a couple more ideas up my sleeve that need to come to fruition. Hopefully, this week!!! So, stay tuned!!!

Don't forget Sale-A-Bration is going on!! Today, you are able to order the 3 new items added to the Sale-A-Bration!!

Happy 17th Birthday Connor!!!

Hi Stampers,

Our oldest grandson, Connor, turned 17 a little over a week ago and we celebrated this past weekend. As with boys his age, what is one of the things they like best? If you said video games, you got it right. I googled a game controller and printed out an outline. I also traced inside for the liner. I even uploaded one for you!!!

Download Game-controller

For the controls I used the 1-1/4" circle and 1" circle punches. For the tiny ones, I used the balloon, star and 1/4" circle punches. I also used the classic  label punch when the card was folded to cut out the "center". I just placed the punch a smidgeon down. I hope this makes sense.

I know it isn't perfect but it is handmade and very heartfelt as this is his favorite thing to do. I hope you will give it a try.

Stamp Set:  Tin of Cards

Ink: Basic Black

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate

Accessories: 1" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch, white gel pen, basic black pen, dimensionals, SNAIL, snips, classic label punch

Happy Stamping!!!

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #218-Sequin Trim Flower

Hi Stampers,

I am FINALLY able to participate in this week's DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge. I made my card up this past weekend so I would be ready for a change. This week's challenge is a product spotlight-ribbon and trims. I know all of you know how to use ribbon on your cards. I challenged myself to come up with a way to use the sequin trim. It seems like I have so much of this left. I used the Balloon Bouquet Punch for the flower petals.  I actually made 2 cards for this challenge. I hope you like them and they inspire you in some way!!!

Ink: White embossing powder

Paper: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Brights DSP

Accessories: Bermuda Bay sequin trim, Iced rhinestones (retired), Tombow glue, SNAIL, paper trimmer, Balloon Bouquet Punch, VersaMark, embossing buddy, heat gun

Here is the second card:

I outlined the diecut "love" with the sequin trim.

Stamp Set: None

Ink: None

Paper: Blushing Bride, Rose Red

Love Note Framelits Interactive Card

Hi Stampers,

Nothing like making my hubby's card last minute!!! GEESSHH!!! If you pull the "Love Note" up you can write a heartfelt message to the recipient on it. I am very pleased at how this turned out!!

*Assemble top DSP to Real Red Cardstock with SNAIL.

*Die cut one envelope with the Love Notes Framelits. Adhere to the front with SNAIL without folding into envelope.

*With a craft knife you will cut from one scored line to the other horizontally of the envelope, through ALL thicknesses. This is where the "Love Note" will go in.

*Stamp "Love Note" on Whisper White and die cut only the top with the Love Note Framelits. My piece is 3-1/2" long.

*Place "Love Note" in the envelope. Turn over to see where to place the adhesive strips and dimensionals.

*Turn over and place glue dots to adhere the envelope closed.

*Stamp sentiment on bottom of card and inside.

I hope these instructions were easy to follow.

Sealed With A Kiss Lipstick Pens

Hi Stampers,

I saw this cute idea on Erica Cerwin's blog and guess what? I happened to have some of these pens in my stash!!!! Imagine that!! LOL I know you can order them from Amazon too.

Aren't these just the cutest? They are made with the Sealed with Love stamp and framelit set.

Here it is outside of the package:

Here are the measurements:

Real Red CS cut at 4-1/2 x 6-1/2.

On the 4-1/2 " side score at 1/2, 1-1/4, 3-1/4, and 4.

On the 6-1/2 " side score at 1-1/2 and 2-1/4.

Whisper White is cut at 2 x 4. Place framelit towards the right side and die cut.

DSP is cut at 3-1/4 x 1-1/4.

Stamp sentiment and lip. Cut out with framelit. I used a retired scalloped heart framelit.

Here is a pic with the score lines:

After cutting away it should look like this:

Fold on the dotted lines and adhere sides to the back of the box. Decorate with DSP and heart on dimensionals.

Place lipstick pen in 2 x 8 baggie from Stampin' Up!

Happy Stamping!!!
