DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #208-Cookie Cutter Christmas

Hi Stampers,

Another SUPER busy week for me. I am sorry I am not posting as much as I would like but between my J-O-B (although I absolutely love my job), Thanksgiving and life, my crafting time has been cut way back. I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday. I know I did. Anytime you can get together with family is the BEST!!! and add in food and desserts---yes please!!! This week I did take time to decorate for the holidays. I just love turning on the tree lights, lighting a few candles and just take it all in. There is just something so cozy about this.

Ok....enough about me---now on to this week's challenge.

Great Christmas colors, don't you think? TIP: I found that if you use glue dots behind the gingerbread head and feet they adhere better than using SNAIL.

OOPS-You can see my smudge of Cherry Cobbler. Oh well, it happens!!!

I just love gingerbread men, ok and ladies too!!!

Stamp Set: Cookie Cutter Christmas

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede

Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Warmth and Cheer DSP Stack

Accessories: Paper trimmer, glue dots, SNAIL, Cookie Cutter punch, dimensionals

Make A Wish with Turkey Wishbone

Hi Stampers,

Growing up, my brother Tom and I used to fight over who got the wishbone at Thanksgiving. Did you too? I was playing with my new set Paisleys and Posies and look what I came up with.  I think it is cute. Don't you? I really like it because it is a different take on the other Thanksgiving cards I see and ones I create. I also used one of my Paper Pumpkin kit stamps to stamp the pumpkin background. Those little stamp sets are gems!!! I wish I would remember to use them more. And, did you see the circle framelits? They are the new stitched framelit which in my book ARE THE BOMB!!! I have wanted those FOREVER!!! I am so glad Stampin' Up! brought these out AND they are offering them to all of us, demos and customers early from the annual catalog which doesn't come out until next year!!! Isn't that great? I also like using the sentiment "Make A Wish" from a Birthday Set called Party with Cake. I love finding other ways to further my supplies.

Of course, don't forget to stamp the inside!!

This is the framelit I used to make the "wishbone". Just die cut it and cut it down with scissors.

Stamp Set: Party with Cake, Paper Pumpkin 2016

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake

Ink: Tangerine Tango

Accessories: Big Shot, magnetic platform, SNAIL, dimensionals, Stitched framelits, linen thread, glue dots, classic label punch, paper trimmer

Pilgrim Hat Clothespins

Hi Stampers,

I had some leftover black glimmer paper and mini clothespins so I made some pilgrim hat clips. Perfect for clipping to little snacks for your Thanksgiving table. I made two different ones. One uses the Artisan punch, 1" circle punch and  2" circle punch. The other uses the Artisan punch and small oval punch.

I also used some retired punches as well--Artisan Label and oval punch. I also used retired white satin ribbon.

I hope you will give this a try. The glue dots work MUCH better than the green glue (ask me how I know *wink*)

Lil Pumpkin with Petal Burst Embossing Folder

Hi Stampers,

Ever since I bought the Petal Burst embossing folder it reminded me of pumpkin seeds. Do you see it? I racked my brain to incorporate it into a card. I think I came pretty close with this one. What do you think?

You could use this for Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving or a card of endearment.

Stamp Set: Labeler Alphabet

Ink: Peekaboo Peach, Basic Black

Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Cucumber Crush

Accessories: Big Shot, paper trimmer, SNAIL, dimensionals, Swirly Scribbles thinlits, Petal Burst embossing folder, sponge brayer, Petite Petals punch (for top of pumpkin)

We have been very fortunate to be having such nice weather in Michigan for the month of November. It has been in the 50-60's degrees!!! This weekend we are supposed to have our first snow!!! I am so excited that it came across in my card this week!!! Let It Snow!!!! LOL

Stamp Set: Snow Place

Ink: Basic Black, White embossing powder

DOStamper Stars Thursday Challenge #206-Turkey Table Favors

We are having a product spotlight challenge this week. We were to use one of Stampin' Up's packaging dies. I haven't used my Curvy Keepsake Box thinlit like in, forever so I chose to use this for the challenge. I wasn't quite sure what to make to WOW you with but with the upcoming holidays this idea popped into my head. I thought they would make the cutest table favors for Thanksgiving!!!! What do you think? I bought a pack of 7 of the dry roasted almonds  and placed one inside.

I made 4 "drumsticks" and 4 "bones". I adhered 2 of each together and then adhered them with dimensionals to each side. I sponged Soft Suede around the die cutouts before putting together. I cut the "drumsticks" out of the leaf framelits from the Flower Fair framelits set. I think the thick Baker's twine looks like the basting string you tie up your turkey with.

Stamp Set: None

Ink: Soft Suede

Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie

Accessories: Big Shot, magnetic platform, Flower Fair Framelits, white doily, dimensionals, tear and tape, Curvy Keepsake Box thinlits, YUM from Baker's Box thinlits, heart framelits, decorative label punch,Very Vanilla thick baker's twine

Lighthearted Autumn Leaves

Hi Stampers,

I still had a couple of maple leaves left over from when I sponged color on Whisper White, heat embossed with gold and then cut out with the leaflet framelits. I did use a favorite retired set for the sentiment called Lighthearted Leaves.

I cut out the Very Vanilla, cut out the maple leaf framelit from this and then embossed with the woodgrain embossing folder. I then placed the "leaves" and adhered them in place.

Stamp Set: Lighthearted Leaves (retired), Vintage Leaves

Ink: Cajun Craze, for leaves-Cherry Cobbler, Rose Red, Old Olive, Garden Green and gold embossing powder

Paper: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze

Accessories: Big Shot, leaflet framelits, woodgrain embossing folder, VersaMark, embossing, heat gun, gold sequins, gold baker's twine, dimensionals, SNAIL, paper trimmer

Did you know you can order any of the products to make this card (with the exception of the retired stamp set) from my website? Don't forget to go place your order now!!!

Thankful Grateful Blessed

Hi Stampers,

I always try to thank God each day for all of the many blessings he bestows upon us. It always takes the focus off of me and onto him. The Paisleys and Posies stamp set has the saying Thankful Grateful Blessed. It is so appropriate for the holidays and even ordinary days. We still have a good deal of fall color all around us and it is just awesome to be saying this in the beginning of November!!! Pretty soon, I am sure, we will be covered with that pretty white stuff!!!

Stamp Set: Sheltering Tree, Paisleys and Posies

Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red, Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Gold embossing powder

Paper: Very Vanilla, Cajun Craze

Accessories: Big Shot, Leaflet framelits, magnetic platform, gold sequin trim, glue dots, SNAIL, dimensionals, linen thread, Versamark, embossing buddy, heat gun, woodgrain embossing folder
